Interview in New Flash Fiction Review
…wherein Meg Pokrass insists on asking me about flash fiction, when it should be the other way around....
My admiration for flash fiction master Meg Pokrass' writing (her latest
is "Alligators at Night" - Ad Hoc Fiction, 2018) was one of the reasons why I entered an unusual contest which she happened to be judging. Another was the fact that something which I'd begun writing seemed to fit the parameters of the Bath Novella-in-Flash Award. Ultimately, my novella, "How to Make a Window Snake" was selected for that award in 2017, along with second and third place stories by the marvellous Joanna Campbell and Ingrid Jedrzejewski. This happy event opened the door to an eventual encounter with Meg. I was honored to be interviewed recently for the pages of New Flash Fiction Review, the magazine for which she founded and which draws stories from some of flash fiction's strongest voices.
