A Special Month for Flash Fiction
Finding ways to be together has been especially important in these times. June 2020 brought the cancellation of events dedicated to flash fiction and its unique approach to sharing stories about our world and our relationships--but that didn't stop writers from meeting up, reading, and sharing ideas online. Just a few examples from the past week: The June 6 celebration of National Flash Fiction Day in the UK. An anthology launch, writing to a series of prompts on the Day, and a FlashFlood of stories to mark the annual occasion. Readings of flash fiction online by presenters from the cancelled Flash Fiction Festival in the UK. Writers whose stories are included in the newest editions of Best Microfiction and Best Small Fictions and who read for National Flash Fiction Day in New Zealand.
