The title. It's definitely one of my favorite things about How to Make a Window Snake, my Bath Novella-in-Flash Award-winning story. Its whimsical feel is a hint that this isn't only a story about tragedy and disillusionment though, yes, there's quite a bit of that. It's also about resilience and family and joy. I'm thrilled to have my story about an American biracial family included in an anthology with stories written by talented UK-based authors Joanna Campbell and Ingrid Jendrzejewski, and selected by judge and flash fiction master Meg Pokrass. Can't wait to see what writers come up with for the next round of this competition. Not sure what a novella-in-flash is? Check out the Bath Flash Fiction website for more information and interviews on this fascinating form of storytelling.
